soft top protection

Postby odeano on Wed Sep 11, 2013 7:08 pm

Hi all, about to put hard top on for winter, have heard about soft tops going mouldy while folded away. Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid this, maybe scotch guard before retracting ? Any tips would be appreciated as I don't fancy a nasty surprise next spring ! Thanks

My Suggestion is go to a 'Marine' supply (boat supply). They have a great canvas treatment which is much better than scotch guard. Sorry I do not remember the name. It came in a white plastic bottle and had a windex type push to spritz top. It conditions and protects from UV and mold and stains. (my best guess is the name had "909" in it????)
