Stereo help!!!..my speakers cut out when i turn up my volume and stop working andall i hear is my subs playin?
i have all stock speakers with a new alpine ida-x100 and have 2 10" rockford punches and i tried have unplugged my subs and it still does it. i am getting very frustrated with this. like i said before if i turn it up to loud it cuts out and if i dont turn it down quick enough the speakers wont work for a wile some times if i turn the car off then on it will start working again but most the time they will stop working and wont turn on till it wants to go back on.

also the deck i had before (not the stock one) did the same thing and i thought it was the deck so i got a new one but it didnt change.

seem like you have a lose wire some where ,best thing to do if you can not find whats doing it is to run new wires to your speaker .its not a hard job to do .that way you will no if it the speaker playing up or you had a lose wire .this is what i would do and have dun in the past

Common problem with installs this....
are all /any peakers connected to amps?
if so check the earth connection on the amp and on the head unit.
as you turn up your system it draws more power if there is a poor connection the sound will cut out
hope this helps.
