I’ve found a test that’s conducted by AutoCar Magazine between the BMW M3, Porsche 911 GT3 and the new Nissan GTR. I have to admit that I didn’t like the review and I think it’s unfair to conclude that a specific car is "better" than the rest based only on the opinion of the reviewer alone. Add to this that you get a feeling that this whole review was designed just to reach to the conclusion that the Nissan is the best of the three. I totally disagree with that. I don’t know about you guys. Please take a look at it and let me know what you all think.

Enjoy :-

Its a good representation of both the GT3 and the Skyline but sadly the m3 does not deliver on what it has set out to be. BMW say the E92 M3 is a more of a track orientated car but judging from the video i say they fumbled on something, sadly. I am disapointed but then they do still have chris bangle working for them!!!

@Ashman: I agree, but do you think that these tests were enough to judge that the Skyline is better than the M3 & Porsche? For me, I like how the TopGear guys do these tests. Everyone of them is trying to show that his car is the best and you decide about it. In these videos, I felt like the Skyline was already brought there to win. Sorry, but I have to see more accurate tests to believe it. That’s all.

I disagree too. I think this test was sponsored by nissan.
Maybe coz i never drove a porsche or a Skyline, but i drove a M3 and i say it’s the best car i’d ever driven.
    Damm you autocar =]

@Tony: I know that the Nissan is a better handler than a lot of cars. I mean the previous cars were so good that they were even banned from racing. I read the test from Top Gear magazine and they also held the car in high regard. And if you think about it, for a car with so much weight to manouver like a Porsche is pretty impressive! And the price of the car is also a prize because you get comfort with the performance. I do not have the times with me right now, but the Nissan was significantly faster than the M3 around the Nurburgring. It did it in 7:38 where as the E46 CSL did it it 7:50. If i recall correctly the E92 M3 was 22 seconds faster than the standard M3 on the Nurburgring. So even if the E92 is 22 seconds faster than the CSL (which its not) it would still be a tenth of a second quicker than the Nissan…I hate Chris Bangle.

Ashman,You like Nissan more than BMW then? LOL! no just kidding. I’m not sure whether the Nissan is better or the M3. What I’m saying is that you can’t judge about a car simply by the opinion of one reviewer that’s all. If the Nissan proved to be better than the BMW M3, I have no problem with that.. (well … I would have a little problem but I won’t deny facts). In the review above, I didn’t feel like this review is 100% objective. that’s all.

@Tony. LOL. No dont get me wrong…I grew up only knowing the creme of the Germans and I was mostly BMW’s and Merc’s. I like cars and Im a huge fan of the Skyline. But im a bigger fan of BMW. I understand what you are sayin about the opinion of the reviewr. But in all honesty i feel bmw has this one lost. It pains me to say that. And i hate Chris Bangle.

😆 lool Ashman. What is it with you hating Chris Bangle? come on he’s doing a great job, no?

@tony: With previous BMW’s they used to catch my liking the instant i saw them. They had some character that made them BMW. With Chris Bangle’s® BMW’s i spent many month making myself like them. I do like certain aspects of them but they are just too bleh. Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson said it best when they first saw the E90…”Its just some car”. And I hate that. I hate what Chris MANGLEâ„¢ has done to BMW. Oh, and i hate him

So the point is.. A car made by a company that used to be called DATSUN (they made their money from cheap pickups) beats the best 911 ever made , AUDI´s R8 and anything from BMW that starts with an M.

    Indeed amazing NISSAN GTR.
