Today, I’m not going to write about BMW E36 cars. I decided to tell you about a book that I’ve been reading and really enjoying. The book is called Rich Dad, Poor Dad What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money–That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!. The author of this book Robert Kiyosaki talks about him being raised by his father (the poor & educated one) and his friend’s father (the rich & not so educated one).

What I really liked about this book and thought that I should share with you guys is the fresh look at how we live our lives while working in what he calls the "Rat Race". The book is really an eye-opener and I hope you all have the chance to read it. It’s a very small book and yet I consider it as a gold mine because it makes you think about how you spend your life and how you waste it while taking a daily job to work for money instead of making the money work for you. Yes, the money can work for you!

I guess with the year 2007 coming to an end soon, everyone of us should have a good and deep look at what he’s accomplished until now and what he’s not.

I’ve posted previously about BMW Options List and I said that you can find the list of options that your car is equipped with. In that post, I thought that a sticker should be found on the backseat with a list of numbers that are actually options codes. That was correct, but the location of the sticker was not on the back of the rear seat as I thought. It was actually placed on the back of the rear bench instead. I know that because I went and looked for it and simply didn’t find any until I removed my car’s rear bench and there it was. So, here are some simple photos for it:

Pull in the direction of the arrows below to remove the rear bench

After you remove that bench, you will see the sticker in the back of the bench

I took a photo of the sticker itself, I’m sorry for the dirt. I couldn’t remove it because the sticker is actually a normal paper, so using a little water or cleaner on it will simply ruin it

From the list of numbers that you can see (at the bottom of the sticker), I got my car’s list of options

This is really awesome to be able to find all the options that came with your car. But unfortunately, I don’t recognize some of the options like 031, 055, 801 and 848. Anyone knows what are these options? Now, I would love to see you guys doing the same thing and lets see if you have any special/rare options on your cars. Try it and let me know.

I’m not sure if you have noticed the fireworks on BMW E36 Blog website. Today December 13th 2007 is the first anniversary of the blog. I’ve started writing here exactly on December 13th, 2006 and now it has been a year already. I can’t believe that a full year has passed by, but I sure enjoyed every minute of it. In that year I have tried to write about everything that is related to BMW E36 cars and I really enjoyed that, and I hope you’ve enjoyed it the same way I did.

A word on stats:-
In this year I was able to bring a good amount of traffic to the blog. Now, my statistics software shows that I’m receiving 17K unique visitors per month. This is a very nice accomplishment although I’m still looking to get more and more exposure to the BMW E36 community. My readers are growing at a very good rate and I have 112 subscribers to my blog. On Google I’m ranking very good on some keywords that some webmasters would kill for 🙂 and I’ve PR4 (Page rank 4).

What’s next?
In the next year, I will keep working on this blog to get it better and to provide even more useful content to my readership. Hi Guys, I’ve been looking at Amazon website books when I saw a new toy that they have. This is the first time I see something like this. Anyway, this new toy is called Amazon Kindle and it’s supposed to change the way you read for ever. This device is actually a moving library that you can carry with you wherever you go. If you didn’t see its advertisement before, check it out here.

I really think this is a great way to read books, of course if you like reading, because it can hold many books and you can take it wherever you go. You can even read in the sun. And like if this is not enough, it can also download your newspaper automatically in the morning everyday Wow!. Now, that’s the good things about it. I’m not sure about the price as it’s $399.0. I’m also not sure about how comfortable you will be while using it to read for hours. But they definitely took this into consideration when they designed it. Anyway, take a look at it. It’s a really amazing toy that I couldn’t prevent myself from writing about it.
