I’ve found out that the police in Fairfax county (Virginia) are using BMW E36 325i convertibles as their police cars. Wow! this is awesome, now I really want to be a cop :p . The car doesn’t look very cool with the paint and the rear blue lights, but it’s really nice to be a cop and enjoying BMW cars at the same time. I mean to get paid to drive your convertible BMW E36 car, race and put some criminals in jail. I have to admit they’re having a nice life there 😆 . Anyway, take a look at the photos, and pay attention to the last one. The cop is enjoying every minute of it.

The police seized that vehicle, probably from drug dealers, and now use it in demonstrations to school aged kids to show them that crime and drugs don’t pay. Its a show vehicle, it isn’t an actual police cruiser that would stop you on the motorway for speeding.

Are you sure of that? I thought it’s still being used .

Tony can you do more research if it is really being used as a Police Vehicle. Why would this happened. I am sure however who ever is driving it is having fun as I am with mine.

My cousin is on the Fairfax County PD, & I’ve seen this particular car at an Open House event. Jim K is right. This is a drug car that was seized by the department, repainted and is now being used as a PR tool. It is the only BMW painted as an FCPD cruiser, and it is not actually used in patrol. You guys are right though, it would be really cool to be able to patrol in one of those.

The BMW is the only one in our fleet. It is a seized vehicle from a criminal. We marked it with our police colors and use it for public displays and not for normal patrol. It should be displaying the license plates “Seized”
